FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About KneeBees Knee Pads

Q: Why and How KneeBees Work?

A: There is no other children's product on the market today which is designed to work like our KneeBees. Upon impact, the outside layer of our custom knee pads absorbs the abrasion. The inside layer of KneeBees knee pads, which is close to the skin, stays in place, thus protecting the knee from scrapes, scratches, scuffs or grazes.

Q: I love your KneeBees, however, they feel a little tight on my child. What can I do?

A: KneeBees knee pads are very stretchy and therefore, highly customizable to offer best knee protection.  If they feel too tight on the knees, feel free to stretch them with your hands to the desired width.  To stretch KneeBees to their maximum width, please insert both hands on the inside of each pad and stretch outward as far as the pad will allow.  Stretched too much?  No worries!  Just wash KneeBees and they will revert to their original size, so you can try again.

Q: How to wash  KneeBees knee pads?
A: Machine washable in warm water. May be tumble dried. Do not bleach.

Q: Can KneeBees be worn as elbow pads?
A: Kids elbow And knee pads? Sure. KneeBees knee pads offer great elbow protection (make a superior elbow protector) and can cushion elbows as well as knees. However, KneeBees are not intended to protect against broken bones.

Q: How are KneeBees different from other knee pads?
A: Our research and design team worked with several designers and factories to ensure our KneeBees knee pads are soft, comfortable, absorbent and easy to wear as well as to care for. KneeBees knee pads are made out of a double layer of highly stretchable material, which allows for full range of motion, without any restriction. Our knee pads are a 100% unique, patented, double-layered design, which works as follows: upon impact, the outside layer of KneeBees absorbs the abrasion. The inside layer of KneeBees, which is close to the skin, stays in place, thus protecting the knee from scrapes, scratches, scuffs or grazes. Our flexible knee pads are also a great fashion accessory and make a great gift for babies and older kids.

Q: I love your knee pads.  However, after being worn for a week, the knee pads had loose threads sticking out in some places.  Is that normal wear or are they defective?
A: This is completely normal.  Since our KneeBees knee pads are made from mostly cotton, as with all textile products, some loose threads are bound to show up.  Just carefully cut whatever loose thread you see with scissors (take care not to cut through the pad itself) and keep on enjoying them.  After a few weeks of use, there will be no loose threads left to cut.   Careful removal of loose threads does not affect the quality of the product.   KneeBees knee pads are almost indestructible and can be washed and worn over and over …and over again.

Q: I love your knee and elbow pads for kids. Where can I buy them? Are they available at any store?
A: Our unisex protective knee and elbow pads for crawling infants, active toddlers, and older children can currently be purchased on our website www.kneebees.com or on Amazon. We are working on making our wonderful knee and elbow protective pads available for purchase in baby stores around the US. Our unisex knee pads do make a great gift for a newborn baby, as well as for any crawling infant or active older child.
